The open record is the product
Why we built the record first, and made everything else read from it — a short note on the idea the rest of Veraq hangs off.
Most platforms treat their record as plumbing — something internal that supports the product people actually see. We inverted that. At Veraq the open record is the product, and every surface, from the participant app to this newsroom, is a way of reading it.
The consequence is simple to state and hard to fake: there is no private version of the truth. The mechanism that decides a wave is committed before it runs, every participation and outcome is written down, and the defined share to causes is traceable from outcome to cause.
You do not have to trust it. You can check it.
What this changes
When the record is the product, transparency stops being a feature we can quietly drop under pressure. It is the thing itself. That discipline is why we move deliberately — slowly enough that any decision can be read again later.
